
CAVAC Training Classes
CAVAC periodically conducts training classes for CPR and other topics open to the public. We can also schedule these classes for businesses or organizations upon request.

General EMS Education topics
- Learn more about stroke awareness, symptoms, and actions from American Stroke Association.
- STOP THE BLEED is a course developed by The American College of Surgeons for severely injured persons. Learn more about it here
- CAVAC periodically offers CPR/AED classes at our base. These will always be posted on our Facebook page and website when they are offered. The American Heart Association is a great resource for online courses and education from CPR and AED to Basic First Aid. Hands only CPR can help save a life, watch this video
- The American Red Cross also offers courses, many of them online and is also a great resource to learn more about CPR/AED, First Aid, water safety and swimming.
- New York State law requires children under 8 years of age to be restrained in a proper child restraint (car seat with a harness or a belt positioning booster seat, depending on the child’s age, weight, and height). New York State law requires all children to ride rear-facing until age 2. Learn more about how to properly install a car child seat at Madison County Public Health website.
