Treatment Room/Walk-in Services
This is a reminder that we now have a treatment room. Walk-in patients are not to be treated in the open areas at CAVAC because you cannot maintain any reasonable level of confidentiality while assessing the patient. If you do not feel comfortable using the treatment room, then use the ambulance. If you have a walk-in who cannot ambulate, we recommend the on-duty driver retrieve the cot from the ambulance as you will likely be transporting.
Blood pressures should also be taken in the treatment room or on the ambulance unless it is a CAVAC member who does not mind others knowing their blood pressure.
It is not an option to assess and treat patients in open areas.
